The Shongweni MTB Association

The idea around ASHOMBA in partnership with the Durban Shongweni Club (DSC) was created to provide a lively base for mountain bikers and their families to get together on a regular basis.

Our primary aim is to create an area of sustainable land use and trails for mountain bikers in the Shongweni area by working closely with Tongaat Hulett, EMBA and all landowners.

ASHOMBA Annual Membership Fees

Single membership	R250.00
Spouse	R200.00
Children under 18 years old	R100.00
Family membership	R600.00
(4 member's maximum with 2 kids under 18 years old)

ASHOMBA members without an EMBA board will be charged R10 for a day permit

ASHOMBA & DSC members will receive a sticker for your vehicle and for your EMBA board if you have one.

For non-members the following day permit charges apply.

Day ride permit (incl. guided rides)

2012 EMBA licensed riders	R10.00
Non EMBA riders	R40.00 (incl. temp EMBA permit)

These amounts have to be paid to the guard and the receipt must be kept on you at all times. (This is your proof when you are riding on Tongaat Hulletts' land)
